Inspired plans to convert Abbeville House using PDRHaving received permitted development consent, Inspired will convert the 19,000 sq ft 1930s office building at 177 Abbeville Road (pictured) in Clapham into 30 one-bed and 11 two-bed micro-apartments. It also plans to submit a further planning application for additional new-build homes.“This is Inspired’s first micro-apartment scheme in a central London location providing high-spec, high-tech homes that are considerably more affordable,” said Inspired chief executive Martin Skinner. “Clapham Common is one of the most sought-after locations for London’s young professionals and city workers.”The apartments will be priced around 20% below typical new-builds in the area, were house prices have risen 36% over the past five years. Construction work is expected to commence next month. The redevelopment and acquisition were funded through a senior loan from GreenOak Real Estate and mezzanine finance from Northridge Capital.Earlier this month, Skinner called on the government to encourage new PDR after a critical report of some conversions by the RICS.
German international goalkeeper Kevin Trapp has returned to Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt on loan from Paris Saint Germain (PSG).The 28-year-old joins the German Cup holders on a season-long loan deal from the French champions. He left the German side to join PSG in the summer of 2016 and has returned on loan just after two years. He lost his place in the starting XI to French shot stopper and World Cup champion Alphonse Areola last season and moved further down the pecking order with the signing of veteran Italian World Cup winner Gianlugi Buffon. On his loan transfer, Trapp told the club’s website that: “When I was in Paris, I always liked to recall the great time I had in Frankfurt.”“The Europa League season in 2013-2014 was special and of course I would like to experience it again.“I was very happy for Eintracht in May, when they won the DFB-Pokal. For me, it was important to get into an environment in which I feel good and where I can play, I’m looking forward to another year at Eintracht.”Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Bruno Hubner added: “Frederik Ronnow’s current knee problems have made us think, unfortunately our goalkeeper has suffered a knee injury in pre-season that has not quite healed and is still bothering him.“We believe in his qualities but he has now given us the chance to sign Kevin – a goalkeeper who is not only ready to play, but also a figure with great leadership potential, and who demonstrates the value of our club. A current national player decides against other top clubs and comes to us.” He concluded.Related
